Waiting On Reactions 

The courage to speak up 

To stand up, to stand firm.

Waiting in that space,

Bracing for impact.

The courage to protect  

To set boundaries, to be safe.

Still waiting in that space,

Concocting imagined responses.

Creating fear, creating anxiety, creating... 

All that time creating but not being creative. 

Breeding imaginary realities, 

Beating down your courage,

Breaking down your walls, 

Destroying your boundaries...

Just waiting on a reaction.
